Elder Futhark Runes

The Elder Futhark is the oldest known runic alphabet, consisting of 24 angular symbols used by Germanic peoples from the 2nd to the 8th century. Its name comes from the first six letters: F, U, Þ (Th), A, R, and K.
Divided into three groups of eight runes called ættir. Each character represents a phonetic sound and bears a name linked to daily life, such as Fehu (wealth/cattle) and Uruz (aurochs/wild bull). Later they were replaced later by the shorter 16-character Younger Futhark used by the Vikings.
